In trying to win good jobs and community benefits, one of the major roadblocks is public processes that don’t ask the right questions or allow for real public input. LAANE and many other organizations have addressed this challenge by helping to pass laws, including superstore ordinances and labor peace policies, that strengthen the democratic process and allow elected officials to protect the public good.
