Policy: Community Benefits Agreements

When LAANE first negotiated with developers to win living wage agreements, local hiring and funds for childcare, parks and affordable housing, the idea of community benefits agreements didn’t exist. Since then, LAANE has helped win tens of millions in benefits for L.A. residents, and community groups across the country have stopped saying either yes or no to development and started asking developers to say yes to community needs.
