Current Projects

LAANE’s efforts to build a new economy for all span many of the region’s largest industries, from hospitality, construction and grocery to ports and airline services. Together these sectors account for hundreds of thousands of local jobs – jobs that largely cannot be exported, but that too often are characterized by low wages, a lack of health care and substandard working conditions. By transforming these critical industries, LAANE is moving our region closer to a new economy based on good jobs, thriving communities and a healthy environment. A critical component of each project is the role of faith leaders. Our key partner in this work is Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice, Los Angeles (CLUE).
