Jessica Durrum

Jessica began working at LAANE in 2012 after completing UCLA’s Masters in Urban and Regional Planning program, where she studied economic development and conducted research to support labor and community-based campaigns. Prior to graduate school, Jessica worked for seven years with Centro Presente, an immigrant rights organization in Boston, where she served as a paralegal, development director, and associate director, playing a central role in the organization’s transformation from service provision to organizing. She has also volunteered with Doctors for Global Health in Oaxaca, Mexico, supporting a popular health organization that organizes women as health promoters. She holds a BA from Wellesley College in History and Spanish.
