Patricia Castellanos

patriciaPatricia Castellanos joined LAANE in 2006 and oversees the organization’s environmental portfolio. In 2013 she was appointed by Mayor Eric Garcetti to the Los Angeles Harbor Commission, which oversees the management and operation of the nation’s largest port. Before coming to LAANE she served as harbor area director for the Office of the Mayor of the City of Los Angeles where she was responsible for coordinating the Mayor’s initiatives related to the environment, economic development and goods movement in the harbor. Prior to that position, Patricia was director of policy, training and education for Strategic Concepts in Organizing and Policy Education (SCOPE) and supervised the implementation of SCOPE’s political education program. She has worked on a variety of political campaigns and voter engagement projects. Patricia attended the Cal State Long Beach Public Policy and Administration program and has a degree in political science. She was named the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year in 2006
