Video: Congressional Hearing on U.S. Port Trucking On May 5, 2010, the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee held a Congressional hearing on the negative economic and environmental impacts of U.S. port trucking. The Subcommittee is chaired by Peter DeFazio (D-OR). Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) announced that he is introducing legislation to help reform the port trucking system. A port driver, labor union leader, environmentalist, port executives and industry representatives testified during the hearing.
