My name is Sarah Geismer and I InterAct because I care about Los Angeles becoming a more unified city that’s a tenable and fair place for all people to live. My friends would describe me as giggly and sleepy. What I'm enjoying working on: I work on the show MARON for IFC and I’ve really enjoyed learning about Highland Park and also I just love the tone of the show and the world it explores. My favorite secret spot in LA is I don’t know how secret it is but I really love Taylor’s steakhouse and all the old fashioned Los Angeles places. The biggest issue facing LA right now is: fair wages and the seemingly ever widening gap between the rich and poor within the city.
My name is Joshua Staman and I InterAct because as Tip O'Neill said, 'All politics is local.' My friends would describe me as creative-driven and passionate about current events. What I'm enjoying working on: I have two scripts in the second round of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab, and I was just accepted into the UCLA Master Class in Pilot Writing. Television is a very interesting new world to me! My favorite secret spot in LA is: Sabor Y Cultura. The biggest issue facing LA right now is: this drought.
My name is Tyler Anderson and I InterAct because progressive change won't happen unless we work together to realize a better future. My friends would describe me as witty and as the nice guy at the party who wants you to meet everyone. What I'm enjoying working on: right now I'm prepping for the California Bar Exam, and as tough as the process is, I love storing away legal tricks that can be used in collective representation against institutional landlords and large corporations. My favorite secret spot in LA is: the farmer's market in Echo Park. The biggest issue facing LA right now is: redevelopment, gentrification, and forced homelessness. As money pours in, we need to prevent displacement and ensure that growth is equitable and inclusive.
My name is Susie Cooley and I InterAct because I love our community and I want to work towards bettering it for all. My friends would describe me as funny and possibly too concerned with fairness. What I'm enjoying working on: making a stuffed animal (Pusheen, for all you insiders) for a friend. My favorite secret spot in LA is Pollo a la Brasa Western. The biggest issue facing LA right now is: equality of opportunity, not to mention a DROUGHT.
